Ask shelters about pet-food banks, low-cost clinics, temporary foster support and qualified behaviour help.

Start with the organisation the dog came from. Otherwise use a service designed to support screening and direct rehoming.

- Transfer veterinary and microchip records and use a written adoption agreement.
